Megan and Navigating Life's Chaos
Sometimes in life, chaos can mean all the back to back to back, daily grind tasks that we go through, and sometimes chaos is a huge event.
Megan Ortolivo shares both in her story during this week’s episode of Chaos Queens.
Megan fell in love with her now husband, David, knowing that she wanted to have kids. After getting married and finishing her B.A. and M.A. in Early Childhood Education and Early Child Development, Megan was ready to be a mom.
Walk with us through the chaos of falling in love with an introvert when you’re an extrovert, marriage and building a family, and a really traumatic birth story.

I would also LOVE if you would head over to my show page on whatever platform you’re listening to this on and leave a rating and review. This is the best way you can help get the word out to other Queens about the show.
My name is Megan. I am a wife to my adoring husband of 10 years and a proud mother of two beautiful girls, ages 6 and 2.
For as far back as I can remember I have had a passion and desire to not only "be a mommy", but more importantly to have a role in the overall well-being, growth, happiness, joy and development of children.
I went to college and received my B.A. and M.A. in Child Development and Early Childhood Education. I once toyed with the idea of becoming a Child Life Specialist or Social Worker, but soon discovered, through an extensive amount of volunteer work, that I wasn't as capable as I believed I could be to handle the sensitive and sometimes heartbreaking nature of such a career. Ultimately, I ended up working at a school where I was able to do all of the things I had wanted to do, as far as when it came to the influence I could have on a child, their development, their outlook and their success in the outside world.
I love my job and I love my family.
At the end of the day, I can say I got what I had always hoped for. I "am a mommy" and I work with kids. Wouldn't change either one. But boy is balancing the two hard work! And not just that, but every little bump, hiccup, interference that you never even considered when envisioning what your life would or could be like just adds that extra element of excitement and chaos to life.
